I bought a cheap Sat Nav about three years ago and it was temperamental, involved plugging in an external antennae (attached to the roof), and was incapable of giving directions around northern Warwickshire.
This Tom Tom is simple, easy to use, and - so far - has been absolutely fine for getting me from A to B (even in Warwickshire)!
Screen size is a little small but perfectly adequate and the sucker mount is compatible with the Braketron Nav Mat from South Mids Products which means it can sit on the dash board without sliding around and avoid leaving sucker marks on the windscreen.

Very easy to use. The Tom Tom doesn't have to be kept on the windscreen to obtain a signal. I find it best to follow the verbal instructions rather than being distracted by watching the screen. Far safer that way, but useful if you want to see the kind of road your are driving along. Instructions given well in advance to give you chance to get into the correct lane. They are repeated a number of times so you definitely understand where you are going. So much easier than trying to follow a map!!!!

Great Sat Nav, got it brand new, good packaging, great product, easy to set up and the twist suction pad on the back is great - not a chance of it falling off your windscreen! For a tom tom, cheapest I could find on anywhere on Amazon.

the new Tom Tom is very small, really easy to fit in a handbag so you're never tempted to leave it in the car. It is easy to use and finds a new route really quickly if you don't follow what it recommends. TomTom ONE Classic UK & RoI Satellite Navigation SystemOnly one thing - it appears to tell you what speed you are doing, but I recommend you stick to the car's speedo. My Tom Tom tells me I am doing 30 when I am actually doing 36 - with unfortunate consequences if you believe it.

Fantastic bit of kit for a great price. The best brand of Sat Nav out there!! The new speed camera alert tool is a great new aspect that gives a clear warning when you are approaching a camera.
